Lincoln'), 'Let this man take the Oath of Dec 8 1863 and be discharged,' 45 x 128 mm, trimmed from a larger sheet, February 6, 1865, matted and framed beneath a portrait of Lincoln, with plaque to 455 x 300 mm. SIGNED LINCOLN PARDON CONDITIONED UPON HIS LOYALTY OATH. On December 8, 1863, Lincoln announced in his annual message to Congress that he would offer a pardon to any soldier willing to swear a loyalty oath to the United States: 'I do solemnly swear, in presence of Almighty God, that I will henceforth faithfully support, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States and the Union of the States thereunder; and that I will, in like manner, abide by and faithfully support all acts of congress passed during the existing rebellion with reference to slaves, so long and so far as not repealed, modified, or held void by Congress, or by decision of the Supreme Court; and that I will, in like manner, abide by and faithfully support all proclamations of the President made during the existing rebellion having reference to slaves, so long and so far as not modified or declared void by decision of the Supreme Court. Buyers' Premium and Charges

28% on the first $50,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of $50,000 up to and including $1,000,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of $1,000,000 up to and including $6,000,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of $6,000,000.
