Olympic Games 1896 - 1996 Centennial Torch - Official torch from the centeary of modern Olympic Games 1896-1996 on occasion of the the centenary celebration of the Greek Olympic Committee in Panathenam Stadium in Athens on 6th April 1996. Silver plated aluminium with wooden handle; on a ring with mounted Olympic Rings the names of all Olympic cities from 1896 on. 55 cm. Medallists and officials from all cities that hosted the Olympic Games from 1896 on participated in the celebration. There was a torch relay during which one representative of each host city bore a torch like the one on sale. Afterwards, all representatives of the host cites took home a torch for commemorative events. This torch was used in the torch event.
Olympiafackel 1996 - Offizielle Olympiafackel für das 100jährige Bestehen der modernen Olympischen Spiele 1896 -1996 anlässlich der Feier des griechischen olympischen Komitees im Panathenam Stadium in Athen am 6.April 1996. Verlsilbertes Aluminium mit einem Holzgriff. Auf einem Ring mit aufmontierten vergoldeten Olympischen Ringen sind alle Olympiastädte seit 1896 eingraviert. 55 cm. - An der Feier am 6.4.1996 nahmen Medaillengewinner und Vertreter der Städte aller bisherigen Austragungsorte der Olympischen Spielen von 1896-1996 teil. Es fand im Stadion ein Fackellauft statt, bei dem jeweils ein Vertreter jedes Austragungsortes eine solche Fackel getragen hat. Anschließend nahmen alle Verterter der olympischen Austragungsorte Fackeln für Erinnerungsveranstaltungen in den jeweiligen Städte mit. Diese Fackel wurde bei der Jubiläumsveranstaltung getragen!!!.

The lots have been described conscientiously. The authenticity of the lots is guaranteed if nothing to the contrary is mentioned in the text.
Prices listed in the catalogue are estimates only. The lots may be sold at higher or lower prices. Auctioning will start at 80% of estimate unless at least two higher bids have been received. Bids under 80% of estimate are not accepted by the auctioneer.
Bids are to be submitted in € only. They are executed conscientiously and without any commission.
A buyer´s fee of 19,5% is added to the successful bid. Foreign purchasers from EEC countries will be charged the German VAT. Postage, insurance and bank charges will also be added. Payment is due within 10 days of the auction invoice. The buyer is responsible for compliance with import regulations.
Bids by customers unknown to us are executed only when a sufficient deposit is mailed with the bids of verifiable bank or trade references are furnished.
