Description
Presentation Hungarian Hussars Broadsword (Pallasch)
Single-edged, straight blade with false edge and central point. On the one side Coat of arms of Hungary Kingdom and "picture" of a hussar on horseback those were etched on the blade accompanied by the text "PRO LIBERTATE" and "Eisenhauer", on the opposite side "VIVAT HUSSAR" with figure of Madonna and double cross. Iron hilt with straight cross-shaped crossguard. Wooden grip covered with leather. Smooth back-piece, boat-shaped pommel with tang nut. Steel plate scabbard, two lockets with movable rings. Hungary, the 1st half of the 19th century, length 103 cm. Condition 2+

Gerade Rückenklinge mit zweischneidiger Spitze, mit terzseitiger Ätzung Muttergottes auf Mondsichel und das Doppelkreuz unten Schrift "VIVAT HUSSAR", quartseitig ist Säbel schwingender Husar auf sich aufbäumendem Pferd unten ungarisches Wappen und Schrift "PRO LIBERTATE". Unten bezeichnet "Eisenhauer". Eiserne Parierstange mit langen Mitteleisen, belederte Hilze mit Schnurwicklung. Eiserner Griffrücken, Griffkappe. Stahlscheide mit zwei Ringbändern, zwei Trageringe. Ungarisch, erste Hälfte 19. Jh., Länge 103 cm. Zustand 2
