Description
A South German Miniature Casket
Rectangular casket on four ball feet, made of gilded sheet-iron. The lid with a folding handle. Fine decorative etching on each side, with two portrait cartouches on the front and angel heads on the sides. The back shows portrait cartouches of a Landsknecht and a Turk. Southern German, presumably Nuremberg, 17th or 19th century, dimensions 12.5 x 8 x 6 cm. Condition 2

Rechteckiges Kästchen aus vergoldetem Eisenblech auf vier Kugelfüßen. Der Deckel mit Klapphenkel. Allseitig feine Zierätzung. Vorderseitig zwei Portraitkartuschen, an den Seiten Engelsköpfe. Rückseite mit Portraitkartuschen Landsknecht und Türke. Süddeutsch, vermutlich Nürnberg 17. oder 19. Jh, Maße 12,5 x 8 x 6 cm. Zustand 2
