Description
A Fine Austrian Court Sword with Gold-Plated Silver Hilt
Double-edged thrusting blade of flattened hexagonal section with decorative etching. On both sides decorated with engravings of Double Eagle under Imperial Crown. Fine openwork gilt (remnants) silver hilt chiselled in rocaille and geometric designs. Original twisted silver wire grip winding and Turk´s heads. Austrian circa 1750, length 95 cm. Condition 2
Silberner vergoldeter Hofdegen
Zweischneidige, flach gegratete Stichklinge mit ornamentalem Ätzdekor am Ansatz und beidseitig mit bekröntem Doppeladler. Rocaillenförmig und geometrisch fein durchbrochenes (in Resten) vergoldetes Silbergefäß. Originale Hilze und Türkenbünde aus gekordeltem Silberdraht. Österreich um 1750, Länge 95 cm. Zustand 2
