A Pallasch of the Chevauleger
Single-edged, straight blade with wide fuller on both sides and a central point. Brass hilt. A knuckle-bow with thumb ring and strip basket with three side-bars and large knuckle guard. Rope-wound wooden grip with leather covering. Smooth back-piece. Austria, 2nd half of the 18th century, length 96 cm. Cf. Jiri Protiva, Pallasche der Habsburgermonarchie, MAC s.r.o., 2009. Gerade Rückenklinge beidseitig breiter Kehlung mit zweischneidiger Spitze. Narbig. Messinggefäß. Einfacher Griffbügel in gerade Parierstange übergehend. Großes Stichblatt mit drei Nebenbügeln. Daumenring. Griff mit Spagat umwickelt und mit Leder überzogen. Ganze Griffkappe. Österreich, 2. Hälfte 18. Jh., Länge 96 cm. Vgl. Jiri Protiva, Pallasche der Habsburgermonarchie, MAC s.r.o., 2009.
