A red and gilt Japanned table/bracket clock parts 18th century and later, signed to the chapter ring J.Ellicott, London the rectangular case with moulded ogee caddy top and brass carrying handle, the sides with glazed and shaped rectangular viewing apertures on moulded plinth and swept bracket feet, the whole with Chinoiserie figural and foliate and trellis decoration, the brass dial with applied scrolling spandrel mounts and silvered 7'' Roman chapter ring, with outer Arabic five minute track with sanded centre and pierced steel hands, the arch with applied silvered Tempus Fugit boss, the brass four pillar twin fusee movement with anchor escapement striking on a bell, the backplate and brackets with scroll and floral engraved decoration, and matching suspension bracket with brass pendulum, case key and winder, 50cm high, 28cm wide, 17.5cm deep approximately Saleroom notices: Please note that this clock may incorporate some earlier components but is in the Georgian style.
