Vanessa Bell (British, 1879-1961) Sketchbook (Venice) 1926 signed with initials 'VB' (on the cover); signed again with initials, inscribed and dated 'VB/Venice/1926' (on the inside cover) card bound sketchbook comprising 34 pencil drawings on paper, together with a further six loose leaf pencil drawings from the same sketchbook 17.2 x 20.9 cm. (6 3/4 x 8 1/4 in.) Footnotes: Subjects include mainly observational portraits; an abstract design; two studies of a seated cat; and a view of a Venetian church.
