A SATSUMA BOWL By Kozan, Meiji era (1868-1912), late 19th/early 20th century The high sided bowl raised on a narrow slightly splayed foot, finely painted in enamels and gilt to the interior with a multitude of butterflies, the exterior with panels of birds and figures, all reserved on a multicoloured millefleurs ground, with geometric diaper bands, signed in gilt to the base Kozan. 12cm (4 3/4in) diam.
