A Fine French 1855 Model Infantry Officer's Sword Dated 1869 With bright tapering double-edged blade fullered over its entire length on both sides, etched on one side at the forte 'Mre. Impl.Ale De Chat.t. -Mai 1869' and 'O. Superiueur M.le 1855.', and stamped with two inspector's marks on the other, gilt-brass hilt cast and pierced with flowering foliage on the side-guard, and stamped 'SPIQUEL & CIE A PARIS' beneath the scrolled quillon, and wire-bound dark horn grip, in original steel scabbard with two rings for suspension, and in fine condition 86.2 cm. blade For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing
