Containing a Complete Historical Account of Captain Cook's First, Second, Third and Last Voyages, Undertaken for Making New Discoveries, & c.... London: for A.Millar, W. Law and R. Cater, 1790. 6 volumes. 8vo (201 x 122 mm). 129 engraved plates, 29 folding maps/plans. Modern half burgundy straight-grain morocco over marbled boards, spine gilt. Several leaves sprung in first, fifth and sixth volumes, some plates trimmed into text, a few instances of light spots, sixth volume title with repaired tear, corners rubbed. Provenance: John Vokins (ownership inscription to ffep of 1st & 4th volumes). Originally issued in 80 parts and likely with a spurious imprint.
