Chippendale-style Mahogany 'Goddard' Tea Table, Jeffrey Greene (American, b. 1957), Newport, Rhode Island, 2009. Fine single-board top with coved molding conforming to ogee border and blocked corners of the shaped apron, raised on cabriole legs terminating in open-talon claw-and-ball feet, the knees incised and intaglio-carved with anthemion decoration continuing over molded returns, 86cm wide, 53cm deep, 66cm high (34 3/8in wide, 21 1/4in deep, 26 5/8in high). Footnotes: Provenance The collection of Eric van Rooy. The Ball & Claw, Newport, Rhode Island, ordered April 2009.
