Eleven Commemorative Medals, America and Europe, 20th/21st century. 1. One late 20th-century copper alloy replica of the 1801 Thomas Jefferson 'Peace and Friendship' medal, diam. 3 in. 2. One 1929 bronze plaque impressed 'Medallic Art Co., NY' on bottom edge, the bas-relief signed by Jonathon M. Swanson depicting respective company directors, Richard Hoyt and Clement Keys, joining hands below figures of Mercury and young pilot, 'Commemorating the Merging of Wright Aeronautical Corporation, Travel Air Company, Keystone Aircraft Corporation, Moth Aircraft Corporation, New York Air Terminals Inc., New York and Suburban Airlines, Inc. / Curtiss Aeroplane and Motor Company Inc., Curtiss-Robertson Air Plane Mfg. Co., Curtiss-Caprioni Corp., Curtiss Flying Service Inc., Curtiss Airports Corp., Curtiss Aeroplane Export Corporation', 2 5/8 x 4 in. 3. One 1905 bronze Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Medal, with relief portrait signed Barber, the reverse depicting an allegorical figure in front of the U.S. Capitol, framing the inscription 'Inaugurated President of the United States Sep. 14 1901 / Second Term March 4, 1905' above signature of Morgan, diam. 3 in. 4. One bronze medal commemorating the 1935 Brussels Exposition with high relief portrait of Queen Astrid of Belgium signed 'P. de Soete', unidentified foundry mark on plain rim, diam. 2 3/4 in. 5. One large 2005 Bronze Jules Verne Centennial Medallion signed 'MdB D'AP. VAUTRIN' below intaglio portrait of Verne (1828-1905), the reverse depicting motifs from six of his novels encircled by calendar rings, diam. 3 15/16 in. 6.
