AN EXTREMELY RARE AND LIMITED EDITION TANTALUM MANUAL WIND WRISTWATCH Model: Chronomètre Bleu - Byblos Date: Purchased 23rd October, 2014 Movement: 22-jewel manual wind Dial: Blue Case: Round, display case back, No. 63/99 Strap/Bracelet: Blue crocodile Buckle/Clasp: Tantalum buckle, signed Signed: Case, dial, and movement Size: 39.5mm Accompaniments: Maker's presentation box, certificate and instruction manual Footnotes: Created in 2014, the Chronomètre Blue Byblos is a limited edition collection with only 99 examples made, in celebration of the tenth boutique opening of FP Journe in Beirut. Named after the ancient city of Byblos, a Phoenician port city in Lebanon, the watch features an open-work dial with a blue chapter ring cut-out over the exposed 18k rose movement, decorated with barleycorn guilloché finishings. This dial design is inspired by the blue Mediterranean sky and its sun, with the letter 'J' replaced by the letter 'Yodh' in the Phoenician alphabet. This present example, one of the limited edition series of 99, is an extremely rare and eccentric creation from the Chronomètre Blue collection, ideal for any modern collector looking to add an unique numbered timepiece to their collection. **Please be advised that watch straps made of materials derived from endangered or otherwise protected species (i.e. alligator and crocodile) are not sold with the watches and are for illustration purposes only. We reserve the right to remove these bands prior to shipping.
