A STAINLESS STEEL MANUAL WIND CHRONOGRAPH WRISTWATCH Model: Uni-Compax Reference: 884100/01 Date: c. 1960s Movement: 17-jewel manual wind Dial: Matte black Case: Round, screw down case back Strap/Bracelet: Black alligator Buckle/Clasp: Stainless steel buckle, signed Signed: Case, dial, and movement Size: 36.5mm Accompaniments: None Footnotes: Universal Genève has a rich history in producing some of the most iconic chronograph timepieces, especially in the Compax series. The present Uni-Compax, Ref. 884100/01, dates to circa mid-1960s and is among the least common of all Compax watches. Within the case, you will find a 'reverse panda' dial with silvered subsidiary registers, in particular an enlarged 45-minute register at 3 o'clock, giving it its name, the 'Big Eye.' **Please be advised that watch straps made of materials derived from endangered or otherwise protected species (i.e. alligator and crocodile) are not sold with the watches and are for illustration purposes only. We reserve the right to remove these bands prior to shipping.
