Gemälde - Hermann Gradl (1883 Marktheidenfeld - 1964 Nürnberg) " Mainlandschaft ", r.u. signiert, Öl auf Pappe, Bildmaße ca. 20,5x25,5 cm, Rahmen, vgl. Lit.: War ein deutscher Maler, Zeichner und Illustrator. 1899 begann er als Schüler an der Städtischen Gewerbeschule in München. Bereits zu dieser Zeit entwarf er für die Nymphenburger Porzellanmanufaktur Jugendstildekors und Formgebungen. Bei der Pariser Weltausstellung gewann Gradl mit seinen Entwürfen einen Grand Prix. 1901 wechselte er an die Münchner Kunstgewerbeschule, wo er in die Klasse für Weberei unter Prof. Theodor Spieß aufgenommen wurde und 1905 schließlich zu dessen Meisterschülern zählte.
