Bielefeld
van Calraet, Abraham Pietersz (Dordrecht 1642-1722) attr.
Painting, oil on canvas, cavalry trooper with grey horse, an encampment with soldiers behind, 39 x 58 cm, c.1700, very good condition, cleaned with minor retouchings, later well framed in a "Brussels frame", frame very good condition, an almost identical painting of smaller size is housed in the Wellington Collection in Aspley House London, instead of the animals the left foreground of that painting is filled with bones, because of the more narrow shape the horizon becomes smaller and the group of soldiers behind move closer together

Reserve price: 1000 EUR
