GUARANTEES

The attributions have been established taking into account scientific and artistic knowledge at the date of the auction. The lots are presented without assertion of date. The auctioneer reserves the right to make corrections to the catalogue designations. These corrections will be announced at the time of the presentation of the object and recorded in the auction record.

A prior exhibition will allow the buyers to see the condition of the goods offered for sale, and no claims will be accepted once the auction has taken place.

All indications relating to an incident, an accident, a restoration, a conservation measure, affecting the lots are communicated in order to facilitate their inspection by the potential buyer and remain subject to the latter's entire appreciation. The absence of an indication of an incident, accident, restoration or conservation measure does not imply that a lot is free of any defect, restoration or conservation measure. A reference to a particular defect, restoration or conservation measure does not imply the absence of other defects, restorations or conservation measures.

The catalogue reproductions of the works are as accurate as possible, although colour differences are possible.

Dimensions are given as an indication only. The working order of any mechanism (especially locks) is not guaranteed.

SANITARY MEASURES

As the number of seats in the hall may be limited, it is advisable to reserve your place with the auctioneer. The auctioneer reserves the right not to allow access to the hall if the maximum number of people present is reached.

Any place reserved and not occupied at the start of the sale will be considered free.

The wearing of masks and the respect of the barrier gestures are recommended for health reasons.

AUCTION

The order of the catalogue will be followed. The auctioneer may divide or combine lots.

In the event of a double bid recognized by the auctioneer, the lot will be put up for sale again, with all the amateurs present being able to bid for this second auction.

If the bid proposed in the auction room is of the same amount as your order, it will not be taken into account. If several bids are placed for the same amount for the same lot, only the first bid received by the auctioneer will be taken into account.

COLLECTION OF PURCHASES

The successful bidders are advised to collect their lots as soon as possible in order to avoid storage costs which are at their expense. The auctioneer is not liable for storage costs in any way whatsoever. Lots not collected will be returned to the auctioneer's storage facility at the buyer's expense.

On the buyer's express request, lots may be collected from Art Richelieu - 51, rue Decamps - 75116 Paris by appointment only on 01 42 24 80 76. A storage fee of €6 per lot per day will apply from the 15th day after the auction date.

In the case of payment by cheque or bank transfer, the delivery of the items may be deferred until they are cashed. The buyer is fully responsible for the item as soon as it is sold. The buyer will be responsible for insuring his acquisitions, and the OVV* declines all responsibility for any damage that the object may incur, and this as soon as the auction is pronounced.

The export licence formality may require a period of five to ten weeks, which may be significantly reduced depending on the speed with which the buyer gives instructions to the auction house. Unless otherwise specified, the goods offered for sale do not benefit from a cultural goods export passport. Consequently, it is the responsibility of the successful bidders to complete all necessary export formalities. Under no circumstances can the sale be cancelled if the export cannot take place due to the absence of a passport.
