LÜ DONGBIN.
China. Ming dynasty. About 16th c.
Bronze with dark patina. Standing in a scholars robe with his sword (damaged) on his back and holding a fly whisk. Beside him a small demon with an antler on his head is offering wine in a gourd. Both are standing on a three legged plinth, on which maybe once another demon was standing. Height 29,5cm, width 19cm, depth 9cm. Condition A/B.

Bronze mit dunkler Patina. Stehend in Gelehrtengewand mit einem Schwert (dieses beschädigt) auf dem Rücken und einen Fliegenwedel haltend. Neben ihm steht ein kleiner Dämon mit einer Geweihstange auf dem Kopf, der ihm Wein aus einer Kalebasse anbietet. Beide stehen auf einer dreibeinigen Plinthe, auf der wohl noch ein weiterer Dämon stand. Höhe 29,5cm, Breite 19cm, Tiefe 9cm. Zustand A/B.
