Jade (Nephrit). China, late Qing, ca 19th cent.
An appealing white jade amulet, well rounded, carved with a character – possibly SI ? meaning “reflection”/“reflectiveness”, the lower part of the character carved as an ornament and possibly showing two longevity peaches below.

AMULETT MIT SCHRIFTZEICHEN
Jade (Nephrit). China, sp. Qing
Weiße Jade in typischer "Handschmeichler"-Form mit sehr guter Abrundung und vermutlich dem Schriftzeichen SI ?, das "Denken" bzw. "Nachdenklichkeit" bedeutet. Der untere Teil des Schriftzeichens ist sehr verschnörkelt ausgeführt. Möglicherweise ganz unten zwei Pfirsiche als Langlebenssymbole.
