FIGURAL CULT BELL
Bronze. Nepal, possibly 19th century
Interesting bronze bell (clapper lost, but fine sound), topped of an attached square, open work plaque showing four birds and four figures standing in a worship pose, the center cast with a female deity, wearing necklace, the hair combed to the back, the head carrying a bowl, strong patina due to age.

NEPAL, möglicherweise 19. Jh. Bronze
Interessantes Stück, das über einer Glocke (Klöppel fehlt, Klang aber schön) eine quadratische, durchbrochene Platte aufgesetzt hat, in deren Mitte eine weibliche Dorfgottheit säulenartig hochsteht. Sie hat eine Schmuckkette, rückseits einen langen Zopf und auf ihrem Kopf eine große Schale mit mehreren Gefäßen darin. Um sie herum auf der Platte vier Vögel sowie vier stehende Figuren, alle mit der Handhaltung der Anbetung. Kräftige Alterspatina. Aus der Sammlung eines Tibeters.
