China, 1844 bis 1927Acht größere Blätter, kraftvoll mit sicherem dynamischen Duktus auf gelblich getöntes Papier gemalt. Verschiedenste Blüten oder Früchte mit Blattwerk wie Päonie, Narzisse, Kamelie, Granatapfel, Litchipflaume etc. Jedes Blatt trägt eine kalligrafische Inschrift, fast alle sind mit Wu Changshuo 吳 昌碩 signiert, sowie mit einem bis zu drei roten Siegeln versehen. Wu Changshuo lebte von 1844 bis 1927. Er dichtete, kalligrafierte, malte, schnitzte Siegel. Er stammte aus einer Gelehrtenfamilie, später wurde er kaiserl. Beamter in Liaoning. Die acht Blätter sind in schwarzen Passepartouts, die rückseits alle sorgfältig mit Leinen überzogen sind. Eine ausklappbare, hell stoffbezogene Kassette befindet sich in einer dunkelblau stoffbezogenen Box. Auf dieser große Aufschrift Wu Changshuo Zhuanguohua, „Buch mit Folge von Malereien von ...“. Various flowers or fruits with tendrils, peonies, lilies, camellia, pomegranate, lychee etc. Each page bears a calligraphic inscription and one to three red seals, almost all are signed Wu Changshuo 吳 昌碩. Wu Changshuo lived from 1844 to 1927. He was a poet, calligrapher, painter and seal carver born into a family of scholars and later served as an imperial official in Liaoning. All eight pages are in passe-partouts covered with linen on the back. A fold-out box padded with textile, within a dark-blue box also padded with textile, bearing a large script that reads Wu Changshuo Zhuanguohua, “Book with a series of paintings by…”.
