WÄCHTERLÖWE CHINTHEHolz, Farbfassung und Gold. Burmesisch, ca. 19. Jh.Gut kraftvoll gearbeiteter Chinthe-Löwe, wie sie an Tempeleingängen abwehrhaft positioniert sind. Grimmiger Ausdruck mit groß starrenden Augen. Kleinere Bestoßungen, rückseits fehlender Teil am undekorierten Holzsockel. Gute alte polychrome Farbfassung mit Vergoldung und Patina.HÖHE 21 CMAus einer deutschen Sammlung-GUARDIAN LION CHINTHEWood, colour coating and gold. Burma, approx. 19th cent.Good, powerful Chinthe-lion work, as they are found positioned at temple gates. Grimaced expression with large staring eyes.
