LANDSCHAFT MIT KIEFER UND FLUSS UND BLICK IN HÖFISCHE SZENEMalerei auf Papier mit etwas Gold. Japan, Tosa-Schule, um Mitte 18. Jh.Ein seltenes Fächerbild aus der Tosa-Schule mit einer sehr ungewöhnlichen Perspektive und einem sehr illustrativen Einblick! Auf der linken Bildseite die Schau auf einen gewundenen blauen Fluß, an dessen Ufer eine hohe Kiefer und ein großes Haus in der japanischen Bauweise stehen. Das Bauwerk hat kein Dach, ist völlig offen und der Blick geht wie aus der Vogelschau fast senkrecht hinein. Auf dem grünen Boden sitzen drei männliche und drei weibliche Personen, alle fürstlich. Auf zwei schwarzen Lacktischen eine ausgebreitete Bildrolle sowie drei geschlossene. Im seitlichen Hintergrund auf erhöhter Ebene drei weitere Personen mit verschränkten Beinen auf Podesten sitzend, gewiß der Kaiser mit Begleitern. Sie sind jedoch von einem breiten Rolladen fast zur Gänze verdeckt. Von oben und unten hängen in die Malerei mit Goldstaub bestreute Wolken. Die Tosa-Schule ist die des japanischen Yamato-e-Stils, sie wurde im 15. Jh. gegründet und hatte wesentlichen Einfluß auf die illustrative Kunst und somit auch auf das japanische Ukiyo-e. On the left side of the painting is a view onto a winding river, with tall pine trees and a large house in Japanese design on its banks. The structure is not roofed, completely open, and the view inside is in almost completely vertical bird’s eye perspective. Sitting on the ground are three male and three female persons, all of them royal. On two black lacquer-tables, an open as well as three closed scrolls. In the background at the side on an elevated flat, three further persons with crossed legs sitting on a platform, certainly the emperor with companions. However, they are almost entirely concealed by a wide roller shutter. Clouds sprinkled with gold emerge from the top and bottom of the painting. The Tosa-school is that of the Japanese yamato-e style – it was founded in the 15th century and has had significant influence on illustrative arts, hence, also on the Japanese ukiyo-e.
