BUDDHAHANDFRUCHTJade. China, möglw. Ming-DynastieDie graugrüne Jade mit rotgelben Feldern mit Eisengehalt bietet eine Fingerzitrone, die in China Foshou 佛 手 genannt wird, wörtl. "Buddhahand". Die Auswüchse dieser Frucht sehen wie Finger aus, aufgrund ihres guten Geruches wurde sie in Zimmern aufgestellt. Da die Hand Shou homophon ist zu Shou "Langes Leben", ist sie entsprechend symbolisch geartet. Diese Jade ist ein Handschmeichler gewesen, Größe und gute Abrundung weisen darauf hin. Ming DynastyThe grey-green jade with red-yellow areas containing iron presents a “finger lemon“, called in China Foshou 佛 手, literally "Buddha hand". The sprouts on the fruit look like fingers, because of its nice fragrance it was displayed in rooms. Since hand shou is homophonic to shou "long life", it is accordingly distinguished in its symbolism. This jade was a worry stone, indicated by size and good rounding of the piece.
