China, 1720-1800Raised circular medallions on both main sides, blank rectangular panels on the narrow sides, composed of variegated shades of red, orange, and brown blending with the clear glass.Shape: Compressed globular formHollowing: StandardMouth, neck and lip: Short cylindric neck with slanted lip, flat top and slanted lipBase: Oval shape with raised flat footStopper: Aventurine with good ivory spoonHeight of the bottle with stopper: 6.8 cmWidth of the mouth: 6 mmWidth of the neck: 18 mmCondition: Some wear, chipping to inner lip (not visible unless stopper is removed)Provenance: Austrian private collectionLiterature comparison: FINE CHINESE SNUFF BOTTLES.
