Hodgkin, several gifted by Ruari McLean to de Beaumont), publisher's bindings, 5 leather, mostly decorative or pictorial cloth, boards or stiff wrappers, 16 IN DUST-JACKETS, mostly 8vo, Edinburgh, T.N. Foulis. c.1905-1925; together with some printed catalogues, Elfick and Harris' bibliography, etc. (quantity) Footnotes: 'The hallmarks of a Foulis book - the buckram binding, tipped-in colour plates, elegant Auriol typeface, rose-watermarked paper - were elegant enough in their day. Robin de Beaumont is acknowledged for his assistance in the compilation of the bibliography, and was the author of an article entitled 'Art Publishing in Portland and Edinburgh. The careers of T.B. Mosher & T.N. Foulis reconsidered' (The Book Collector, vol. 48, no. 4, 1999), and several of his copies of Foulis titles are inscribed to him by Ruari McLean.
