Beryl var Aquamarine Shigar Valley, Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan This impressive, completely transparent gem crystal of Aquamarine stands 7.5 cm tall and is sharply formed with a hexagonal cross-section. It has a smaller, 3.5 cm sidecar crystal in tight parallel growth with the larger crystal. Both crystals have exceptionally smooth faces, a glassy luster and a perfect, flat termination! There is a portion of another pale blue Aquamarine crystal at the base that sets off the large crystal and there is an off-white clay coating on some small Albite crystals on the backside of the piece. Crystals of this quality are not common on the market. Crystal is three and three-quarters inches long and an inch and a quarter wide with a glassy luster. Nicely composed! Measuring approximately 8 x 1.5 x 1.5 cm. Height 10 cm with acrylic base.
