Colt Model 5A 1855 Sidehammer Pocket Revolver ( Root-Model)
.31 caliber, no. 1320. 3 1/2-inch octagon barrel. The top of the barrel is roll-stamped with the legend: "+COLT´ PT./1855/+ADDRESS COL. COLT/1855 HARTFORD CT.U.S.A.+". Fluted five-shot smooth cylinder. Cock on the right side of the frame. The one-piece walnut grip. The iron surfaces have a mottled gray patina with spotting and light pitting. United States, circa 1856, length 23 cm. Tumbler notch defective. Condition 2-
