RARE EARLY MCCARTHY PORTRAIT INSCRIBED FOR HIS IN-LAWS. MCCARTHY, CORMAC. 1933-2023. Photograph signed and inscribed ('To Mum and Dad / Love / Cormac') to the parents of his wife, Annie DeLisle, an 8 x 10 inch (actually 8.5 x 11.5 inches) black and white gelatin silver print portrait of the young writer and newlywed, stamped to verso 'John Adams / Creative Photography / 20 Foubert's Place, London, W.1...,' with accompanying note from Annie DeLisle, 'Sent to Annie's mum and dad Irene and Richard DeLisle in England 1965,' repaired tear to upper margin, minor creasing, some staining along right edge. Provenance: Cormac McCarthy, presentation inscription, to: Irene and Richard DeLisle; Annie DeLisle.
