A late 19th century patinated and gilt bronze, enamelled and semi-precious stone and lava cameo inset jewellery casket probably French, of rounded rectangular form, the lid inset with a central twin classical male and female portrait oval, the corners with classical warrior portrait ovals, the sides with foliate bail handles, the whole with formalised acanthus and foliate white enamel decoration and line borders with inset turquoise stones, the sides with additional facetted pink stones, the front with circular lock escutcheon, on disc feet, the interior lined in buttoned padded royal blue silk, 15cm high, 22cm wide, 17cm deep This lot is subject to the following lot symbols: * * VAT on imported items at a preferential rate of 5% on Hammer Price and the prevailing rate on Buyer's Premium.
