Olympiafackel 1936 - Original-Olympiafackel von den Olympischen Spielen in Berlin 1936. Vom ersten Fackel-Staffellauf mit dem olympischen Feuer von Olympia nach Berlin. Entwurf Walter E. Lemcke, Berlin. Hersteller Krupp, Essen. Krupp Nirosta V 2A Stahl. Gewicht: 464 Gramm, Höhe 27,5 cm. Sehr schönes Exemplar!!!. - Originalfackel aus dem Jahre 1936 mit geätzter Aufschrift. Gewicht: 464 Gramm. Nicht zu verwechseln mit der offiziellen Replica die von der Firma Krupp anlässlich der Olympischen Spiele München 1972 hergestellt und an VIP´s verschenkt wurde. Diese Replica sieht dem Original zum verwechseln ähnlich, hat jedoch eine ca. 0,4 cm vertikalen Metallsockel am Fackelfuß. Das Gewicht dieser Replica ist ca. 400 Gramm. Außerdem wird seit ca. 2012 eine Fälschung aus Bulgarien im Internet und leider auch auf Auktionen angeboten. Diese Fälschung hat keine geätzte Inschrift, sondern eine geprägte Inschrift. Das Gewicht dieser Fälschung ist ca. 550 Gramm. - wenige kleine Kratzer.

Made by Krupp, Essen. Material:Krupp Nirosta V 2A Steel.Height 27.5 cm. Original torch made in 1936 with etched inscription. Weight: 427 grams. Very nice copy with only some minmal scratches. Not to be confused with the official replica which was made by Krupp on occasion of the Olympic Games in Munich 1972 and which was given to VIPs only. This 1972 replica just looks like the original piece Yet the base of the torch starts off with a vertical of approx 4 mm until it turns into a conical form. Weighs approx 400 grams. Weight of the original torch of 1936 was 440 grams. Above all, there is a Bulgarian forgery which has been offered since 2012 both on the internet and on auctions. This forgery doesn't have the etching but an embossed inscription. It weighs about 550 grams. The head of the torch on offer is slightly twisted, Some signs of usage. Other wise in very good condition, A-, VF.

The lots have been described conscientiously. The authenticity of the lots is guaranteed if nothing to the contrary is mentioned in the text.
Prices listed in the catalogue are estimates only. The lots may be sold at higher or lower prices. Auctioning will start at 80% of estimate unless at least two higher bids have been received. Bids under 80% of estimate are not accepted by the auctioneer.
Bids are to be submitted in € only. They are executed conscientiously and without any commission.
A buyer´s fee of 19,5% is added to the successful bid. Foreign purchasers from EEC countries will be charged the German VAT. Postage, insurance and bank charges will also be added. Payment is due within 10 days of the auction invoice. The buyer is responsible for compliance with import regulations.
