Oliva y Rodrigo, Eugenio ( 1852 Palencia - 1925 Villaconejos) - "Cervantes beim Unterzeichnen eines Exemplars von Don Quijote für den Grafen von Lemos", Öl auf Leinwand, doubliert, unten links signiert und ortsbezeichnet "E.Oliva/Madrid", Rahmenspuren, in UV-Licht sind Retuschen außerhalb der Hauptdarstellung sichtbar, ca.90x120cm, ungerahmt. -Seine künstlerische Ausbildung erhielt der spanische Maler Eugenio Oliva y Rodrigo an der Schule für Malerei, Skulptur und Gravur in Madrid und anschließend an der Akademie der Schönen Künste in Rom. Das Gemälde mit Cervantes-Sujet bescherte ihm 1884 den zweiten Platz bei der Nationalausstellung der Schönen Künste in Madrid. Es existieren mehrere Ausführungen, die unter verschiedenen Titeln bekannt sind, wie bspw. "Die letzten Tage von Cervantes", oder "Unterzeichnung des Testaments".
