Bayern: Militär-Verdienst-Orden, 4. Klasse mit Schwertern; 3.) Ehrenkreuz für Frontkämpfer; 4.) Bayern: Jubiläumsmedaille; 5./6.) Wehrmachts-Dienstauszeichnung, 3. und 4. Klasse, mit Hoheitsabzeichen für Heer und Marine; 7.) Österreich: Militär-Verdienstkreuz, 3. Klasse mit Kriegsdekoration; dunkelblaue Rückseitenabdeckung.Nachdem Neureuther auf diversen Torpedobooten diente, war er zu Beginn des 1. Weltkrieges Adjutant der III. Matrosen-Artillerie-Abteilung. Als Wachoffizier war er ab Oktober 1914 bis Januar 1916 auf SMS Markgraf tätig. Danach kam er zur U-Boot-Schule und übernahm das Kommando von UC 55 bis Mai 1917, danach bis Februar 1918 UB 74 und hiernach bis Kriegsende UB 73. Am 23. Juni 1918 versenkte er das englische U-Boot D6 bei der Überwasserfahrt und nahm den Kommandanten sowie den Wachoffizier - als einzige Überlebende - an Bord. Am darauffolgenden Tag war es Ihm vergönnt einen britischen Konvoi innerhalb seiner Formation zu attakieren. Den Dampfer, welchen er versenkte, ermöglichte es seinem Boot, ohne weitere Zwischenfälle zu entkommen. Dieser Umstand wurde, da er gebürtiger Müncher ist, auch im "Das Bayernbuch" mit Foto publiziert.Zustand: II0.1.) Austria: Military-Merit Cross, 3. class with war decoration; dark blue backing.After several engagements on Torpedo-Boats, Neureuther started the war as Adjutant of the III. Matrosen-Artillery-Detachement. As watch officer he severd on October 1914 till January 1916 on SMS Markgraf. After that he went to the Submarine School and took over the command of UC 55 till May 1917, after that till February 1918 UB 74 and till the end of the War UB 73. On January 23rd 1918 he sunk the british Submarine D6 while it was running on the surface. The Commander as well ast the Watch Officer - as the only survivors - where taken on board. On the following day he took the chance to attack a british convoy within its formation, sinking a steamer while they escaped below the sinking vessel without further trouble. This attack was published, even with a picture, in the book "Das Bayernbuch" as Neureuther was born in Munich.Condition: II
