Eisenhower') and Inscribed to William Russell, President of the Teacher's College at Columbia University, 10 x 8 in gelatin silver print portrait of Eisenhower with glasses in hand, inscribed at the lower margin, matted and framed to 18 1/2 x 15 inches. Eisenhower inscribes this photo to Russell, 'with best wishes and war regard to a distinguished American from his old friend / Dwight D. Eisenhower.' William Russell (1890-1956) was a scholar, dean, and later President of Teacher's College at Columbia University. The two men worked together closely during Eisenhower's post-war years (1948-1953) as President of Columbia University.
