EMERALD AND ENAMEL MEMORIAL RING, MID 18TH CENTURY - Octagonal-cut emerald within closed back setting - Black enamel inscribed 'JOHN RAVNE, OB 21 NOV 1737' - Mounted in gold - Ring size approx. L - Weight approx. 3.0g Footnotes: OVERALL CONDITION Some enamel loss to hoop. Surface wear to un-hallmarked yellow metal commensurate with age (tests as 19ct gold). EMERALD Later replacement step-cut emerald - sits slightly proud of setting. Measures 5.9 x 5.1mm (depth not possible).
