SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND PENDENT EARCLIPS, CIRCA 1925 Cushion and circular-cut sapphires Cushion-shaped diamonds, approx. 1.05cts total Later screw fittings Length 3.8cm Total weight approx. 7.5g Fitted case by The Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Company Ltd. Footnotes: OVERALL CONDITION Light surface wear to unhallmarked white metal (reverse of earring testing as platinum). Some discolouration visible to screw fitting. Reverse of fitting marked 18C. Earclips with later screw fittings, suitable for non-pierced ears. SAPPHIRES Displaying a medium to dark blue hue with abrasion and nicks to facet edges visible under closer inspection.
