TWO GEM-SET RINGS 1st: Emerald and diamond cluster ring Step-cut emerald, approx. 1.00ct Brilliant and tapered baguette-cut diamonds, approx. 0.25ct total Ring size approx. J 2nd: Spinel and gem-set ring Oval-cut spinel, approx. 0.70ct Circular-cut white gemstones Ring size approx. M Total weight approx. 7.0g (2) Footnotes: OVERALL CONDITION Light surface wear to the unhallmarked metal (1st: hoop testing as 8ct gold, 2nd: hoop testing as platinum). 1st: Ring stamped to inner hoop 1131, Pt 900 and marked 1.30ct. 2nd: Ring stamped to inner hoop 1.28ct with poorly struck indistinct mark and K. EMERALD Emerald measuring approx. 6.4 x 5.7 x 4.2mm, displaying a light medium green hue with moderate transparency. Typical inclusions visible, some surface reaching. Minor abrasions visible to facet edges under 10x magnification. SPINEL Spinel measuring approx. 7.3 x 6.3 x 2.9mm, displaying a medium purplish red hue. Buyers' Premium and Charges
For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:
Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
