DIAMOND AND GEM-SET NECKLACE, CIRCA 1991 Oval-cut ruby, emerald and sapphire Brilliant-cut diamonds, approx. 0.40ct total 18 carat gold UK import mark Length 42.9cm Weight approx. 41.0g Footnotes: OVERALL CONDITION Light surface wear to gold. Reverse of clasp with London import mark for 18 carat gold, sponsor's mark PLtd, and date letter R, marked 048 and 750. Scratched inventory number 5625038 to reverse of clasp. Clasp secure. DIAMONDS Bright and lively. RUBY Measuring approx. 4.8 x 4.0 x 2.5mm, displaying a bright pinkish red hue. Some inclusions visible under 10x magnification, some abrasion to facet edges. SAPPHIRE Measuring approx. 5.5 x 4.3 x 3.0mm, displaying a medium blue hue with inclusions visible under 10x magnification. EMERALD Measuring approx. 4.9 x 4.1 x 3.2mm, displaying a medium green hue with moderate transparency, typical inclusions, some surface reaching, visible under closer inspection. Buyers' Premium and Charges
For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:
Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
