TWO GEM-SET RINGS WITH HEART-SHAPED LOCKET 1st: Garnet and diamond ring, 1975 Oval-cut garnet Brilliant-cut diamonds, approx. 0.20ct total 18 carat gold London hallmark Ring size approx. L 2nd: Sapphire and diamond ring Circular-cut sapphires Brilliant-cut diamonds, approx. 0.45ct total Partial UK hallmark Hoop split Ring size approx. O½ 3rd: Heart-shaped locket Glazed compartment Length 4.2 x 3.0cm Total weight approx. 19.5g (3) Footnotes: OVERALL CONDITION 1st: Light surface wear to the 18ct gold. Inner hoop stamped with London hallmark for 18ct gold, maker's mark JA in lozenge and date letter A. Garnet displaying a medium red hue, with good transparency. Some inclusions visible under 10x magnification. 2nd: Light surface wear to metal (testing as 18ct gold). Ring stamped to hoop with partial UK hallmark for 18 carat gold and makers mark FF. Shoulder of hoop split, requires professional attention. Sapphires displaying a dark blue hue. One sapphire slightly tilted in mount, appears secure but could benefit from professional attention. 3rd: Light surface wear present to the unhallmarked metal (testing as 18ct gold). Reverse of pendant link stamped 750 and Italian assay mark. Minor scratches visible to interior glazed compartments. DIAMONDS Diamonds are lively. Buyers' Premium and Charges
For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:
Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
