CULTURED PEARL AND GEM-SET PENDANT AND BROOCH 1st: Cultured pearl, diamond and green sapphire pendant, 1989 Cultured mabé pearl Brilliant-cut diamonds, approx. 0.35ct total Checkerboard-cut green sapphires 18 carat gold UK hallmark Lengths: pendant 3.8cm, necklace 41.0cm 2nd: Cultured pearl, diamond and pink sapphire brooch Cultured pearl very approx. 8.2mm- 10.5mm Brilliant-cut diamonds, approx. 0.15ct total Oval-cut pink sapphires 18 carat gold UK hallmark, European convention mark Length 5.7cm Total weight approx. 14.5g (2) Footnotes: OVERALL CONDITION Negligible surface wear to the 18 carat white gold. 1st: Stamped with UK hallmark for 18 carat gold to reverse of pendant link, makers mark SS and date letter P. Mabé pearl measuring very approx. 15.8 x 16.0 x 9.9mm, displaying a white body colour with rose overtones. Bead visible to reverse. Minor dimples and wrinkles visible with a medium to high lustre. Sapphires untested for natural origin, displaying a light olive green hue with good transparency. 2nd: Stamped to pin with UK hallmark for 18 carat gold, European convention mark and maker's mark SBLtd. Pin fitting secure. Barrel shaped cultured pearl displaying a rose body colour with violet overtones, nacre predominantly smooth with a medium to high lustre. Buyers' Premium and Charges
For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:
Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
