Some small losses of metal visible to edges of metal border. Pin fitting secure. Garnet of evenly saturated deep red hue with good transparency, measuring approx. 13.3 x 10.6mm, depth not possible due to setting. 2nd: Light surface wear to the 9 carat gold with minor signs of porosity visible to reverse of pendant. London hallmark to reverse, with date letter D signifying 1978. Seed pearls with some wrinkling visible under magnification, and a medium to high lustre. One seed pearl deficient. Garnets displaying a medium purplish-red hue, small chips to crown facets visible under 10x magnification.
