Possibly made in the 19th century, with components of an older 18th century jewel. A couple of very small areas of enamel loss visible with magnification. French assay mark to brooch hook (Boar's head), partial French hallmark and partial French workshop mark to pin (obscured). GEMSTONES Rubies of lightish-medium pinkish red hue, translucent and all with typical inclusions (some of which surface reaching). Some emeralds with chips visible with magnification. Central oval-cut topaz within pink foiled closed-back setting. Pearls untested, of greyish tint, all of baroque asymmetrical shape.
