Geraldine Chaplin (as Wallis Simpson): A check skirt suit Season 3, Episode 8, 'Dangling Man' Custom-made suit comprising a red and white button-up jacket with long sleeves, enamel buttons, an upright collar and white trim, and a matching three-quarter length skirt (2) Footnotes: As seen in the Paris hospital scene, when Derek Jacobi and Geraldine Chaplin (as the Duke of Windsor and Wallis Simpson) learn that the Duke's cancer is incurable. Prince Edward, the Duke of Windsor, was diagnosed with laryngeal cancer in 1971, and died a year later, on the 28th of May 1972. Geraldine Chaplin is the daughter of actor Charlie Chaplin.
