TONTO POLYCHROME STORAGE JAR • Circa 1250 - 1450 AD. • With rounded base and flaring walls, tapering to a slightly flaring rim, painted in black and cream against a brown slip, decorated with an encircling band enclosing a pattern of circular and serrated elements below the shoulder, a chain of stepped diamonds about the neck, reassembled from numerous shards • Approximately 40% plaster restoration • 11 1/2' height • 14 1/2' width Footnotes: OVERALL CONDITION: Good wear consistent with age and use.
