Sayed Haider Raza (1922-2016) Untitled signed lower right and numbered 14/20 lithograph 29 x 34cm (11 7/16 x 13 3/8in). Footnotes: Provenance Acquired from Galerie Daniel Legrand, Paris in 2010. The lithograph is in a portfolio accompanied by a signed introduction by Raza's friend and author Oliver German-Thomas in French, the English translation of which is below, 'This book, printed on Arches paper, is enriched with a lithograph by Sayed Haider Raza, and is signed and numbered by the artist, and produced by the Atelier des Encres in October 2009, this print consists of 20 numbered copies of HCI to HC VI, the whole signed in the colophon, by the author. This is copy 18/20.' 'It was the search for the intangible. My quest to create the tangible altered during the seventies. I tried to find ways to capture the moods of places and people. I had a preoccupation with evoking the essence of emotions and moods more than a visual sight. Elementary experiences of night and day, joy and anguish, summer and winter became my subjects for the fact that they were felt more than seen. From that gestural period of tones and expression, I moved to a new period in the eighties.' - S.H. Buyers' Premium and Charges
For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:
Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
