A late 19th/early 20th century French lacquered brass carriage clock with repeat and alarm the dial signed W.Johnson, 54 Threadneedle St, London, the gorge case with canted moulded swing handle, above a bevelled glaze viewing glass, the 2.75' enamel dial with Roman chapter ring and Arabic five minute outer track and moon and poker hands above an Arabic subsidiary alarm, the brass twin train movement with silvered jewelled platform escapement with compensated balance, striking on a coiled steel gong, with winding key, 17cm high, 9cm wide, 8cm deep This lot is subject to the following lot symbols: * * VAT on imported items at a preferential rate of 5% on Hammer Price and the prevailing rate on Buyer's Premium.
