1974 Puch MV50 Sports Moped Registration no. PGV 91M Frame no. 5524050 (see text) Engine no. 5524050 The advent of 'Sixteener Special' mopeds in the 1970s allowed the Austrian firm of Steyr-Daimler-Puch, long-established as makers of two-stroke lightweights, to grab a substantial slice of the UK 'learner' market with model such as the Grand Prix and MV50. Meanwhile, the popular Maxi range continued to cater for commuters. This Puch MV50 was purchased by the vendor in August 1998 and has been dry stored unused as part of his extensive collection ever since. Recommissioning will be required before the machine returns to the road and thus it is sold strictly as viewed (the engine turns over). Offered with a V5C Registration Certificate and (copy)old V5. It should be noted that both these documents incorrectly record the frame number as '5525050'. Footnotes: All lots are sold 'as is/where is' and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding.
