A collection of silver flatware various maker's and dates Comprising: six Hanoverian pattern bottom marked table spoons, three William Petley, London 1724, and three Elizabeth Tookey, London 1773, all engraved with the same crest; nine Hanoverian pattern bottom marked dessert spoons, Ebenezer Coker, London, date letters indistinct circa 1746, engraved crest; together with a quantity of collected Old English pattern flatware, comprising: fourteen table spoons, including five Hester Bateman, London 1783, initialled 'IRMF', crested, six Richard Crossley, London 1798, crested; eighteen dessert forks, including twelve Solomon Hougham, London 1807 and six Irish examples, initialled and crested; fourteen varying dessert spoons and twelve teaspoons, including examples by Richard Crossley; and two sauce ladles. (Qty) Footnotes: Provenance: By family descent to the present owner Items include the crest of a Saracen in kneeling position, a sword at his side and offering in his hand a crescent, is that used anciently by the MINSHULL family that acknowledges the contribution of John MINSHULL in the crusader wars. Also a crest of mount vert a crossbow erect proper, possibly of the WILKES family. Buyers' Premium and Charges
For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:
Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
