A COPPER ALLOY FIGURE OF SYAMATARA TIBET, 14TH/15TH CENTURY Himalayan Art Resources item no. 1886 4 1/2 in. (11.4 cm) high Footnotes: 西藏 十四/十五世紀 綠度母銅像 Green Tara sits in lalitasana, with her hands in varada and vitarka mudra, holding the stems of lotuses blossoming at her shoulders. Extensively adorned, the goddess wears a three-leaf crown tied with ribbons on both sides. Her robust torso, figural proportions, and the diminutive scale of the lotus flowers are stylistically coherent with a large 14th-century Tibetan gilded bronze of the same subject sold at Bonhams, New York, 19 March 2012, lot 1097.
